I'm Jenn
My name is Jenn, or Jenny as my childhood friends and family call me. I am a mama of four, daughter of Christ, birth and bereavement doula, mountain lover, coffee enthusiast, ray of sunshine and a hug extraordinaire.
My love for photography was inspired from a young age. Born and raised in Alberta, the mountains were my love, and I found, with my little disposable camera, I would take in every moment, and capture it to hold onto a moment of time.
I love to capture everything, but passionate about storytelling. My photos, (while can be requested) are more than just posed shots together. I love capturing those moments of togetherness. The laughter, the joy, and the essence of who you are, as an individual, or family. I believe that photographs stop time, giving you a moment to view, think, feel, react, and soak in all the details in this particular moment in time.
I truly believe that there is beauty all around us in God's creation. Beauty is in the little things, and is everywhere you look. It is a blessing for me to be able to capture it, and share with others.

I have so many good things to say about Jenn Steil Photography. I have used Jenn for family photography since 2021. She has done maternity photos, birth photography, newborn lifestyle family photos, and extended family photos. She has captured great images when children don’t want to cooperate. How do you handle photographing kids?
As a mother of four, I comprehend the difficulties of getting everyone on board. I approach each session with a relaxed demeanor, aiming for a fun and authentic experience. My goal is for us to enjoy ourselves, be true to who we are, create lasting memories, and capture genuine smiles along the way.
I have no idea what to wear?
While it's not obligatory to coordinate together with other family members, it can certainly elevate the overall presentation. If you're unsure, there's no need to worry! I understand the challenges of handling all the details. To support your coordination efforts, I've created a resource that provides ideas and color suggestions. Moreover, there are a few gowns available for your sessions, and I'm here to assist with any questions you may have.
Do I have to order prints through you?
The option is available, but the choice is yours! I understand that individuals often have their preferred printing companies. However, if you ever require guidance or suggestions, feel free to reach out—I'm more than happy to assist!
